Conformance target, known issues, and how to report a barrier
Conformance Target
AffineDrift targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the rendered site. Every route is
checked with an automated @axe-core/playwright scan (desktop-small viewport, light
theme) plus a hand-written WCAG AA text-contrast check in both the light and dark themes
(tests/e2e/accessibility.spec.js). This is a target we are actively working toward,
not a certification of full conformance.
Known Issues
Status: Partial conformance. The first full-site scan found 247 serious/critical axe-core violations across 163 of 238 routes, concentrated in inline-text link contrast, ARIA misuse on video embeds and collapsed accordions, and a scrollable table missing a keyboard-focusable wrapper.
For the full inventory from that scan, see issue #4139(opens in a new tab), closed as remediated on 2026-09-06. The CI axe-core check on the expanded multi-viewport and multi-theme matrix fails the build on any serious or critical finding (issue #4561(opens in a new tab), enforced by pull request #4656(opens in a new tab)).
Reporting a Barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please report it through one of the channels on the Contact page: open a GitHub Issue(opens in a new tab) (preferred — public and trackable) or email dieterolson@AffineDrift.com. Please include the page URL, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and a description of the problem.
